... I had written an extensive story behind the city guard of Kyrenoc, but I felt people would be more interested in the art itself than some page-long summary of my world's lore. Still, for a taste, Kyrenoc was once an island fortress off the coast of Ailyrenai. During the Shadow Era, it harboured Daeyaran's third fleet against the nelri there, yet nowadays, three hundred years from then, it is more of a merchant capital, where Daeyaran still holds its seat of influence for political affairs between the two races. Its city guard is promptly made up of its proud warlike civilians, which greatly consist of the common people's flesh and blood. Many are chosen by family decree; thus it is often seen that Kyrenoc's walls are patrolled by an assortment of family crests that honour those who fought valiantly before their age.
Anyhoo, this is my third official collab, and it's with ~Xhydralisk. I promised him that if he drew an armour-clad nelri, I'd CG it. 'Tis was lots of fun, and since my artwork of Kyse, I needed something to keep my mind fresh on how to colour and shade lined armour.
As for Steve's original lineart; it can be found here at: [link]
I have long ago stopped checking my devwatch, sadly, but now, when I finally do, what do I find on the first page? A stunning piece of art! Really, truly amazing! The mood, the outfit... Great job!
Thanks, Tak. lol, and I guess he's fortunate. I mean, I've only completed three collabs so far... so that must make it some kind of a secret club on a remote island, or something?
Aaaaaawesooomeee!!!! I love this clothing *-* uhuhuhuhu!!!]]
How fortunate for him to have his lovely lineart graced by your gorgeous colors.
