Miaea's Bowby *Aikurisu

Among Lord Evaryr’s warlike possessions, there is only one that has been considered a gift from the blood of his House. Though, as lore has it, this bow he wielded was formerly made by his late descendant, Lord Ranemar, who was renowned for his hunting skill in an era before the Mad King tainted the royal line of the Phoenix Kings. It was because of Ranemar that the Saeyn Province became Evaryr’s to inherit some many moons after the hunter’s time, for which it is believed the bow first originated from the branch of a great oak from the very forests the province was named after.

In turn, it was created by Ranemar’s own hand as a courting gift to Princess Miaea, second born daughter of Phoenix King Edenruil the Calm’s blood. It was told that the princess was very fond of it and not long after fell enthralled with Ranemar in secret, for his blood was of common descent, till Edenruil’s compassion rewarded Ranemar with lands of his own, providing he took Miaea’s hand in marriage and raised their family in peace there. Thus was Ranemar appointed lordship over Saeyn’s bounties.

By Evaryr’s generation, the bow had long since rested quietly as a relic in his family home’s master bedroom, till the day came when Evaryr was forced to wield it when the royal guard upon Prince Imrek’s order placed the noble nelan under house arrest, for suspicion of treachery to the crown. So was history made when Evaryr took the bow and escaped his captivity with it and went into hiding to stand as a great thorn in the Mad King’s side for several years to come. Some say the bow stood as an ironic message against the kingdom’s ruler for that. And due to Evaryr’s fine archery skill, the bow was never used to kill a single one of his enemies; preserving its innocence as the peaceful gift it was once created as. And after the Mad King’s death was declared during the Siege of Anegera's heavy nelri losses, Evaryr nobly returned the bow to its former resting place.

Still… that is not to say another would take up wielding the bow in a later era of need.

Well, what can I say? Back in early January, Julia, aka *Ferrilonver, was curious if I’d ever create a bow weapon, and this is my answer. I felt like giving a nice story for a change behind something too, for there was a time where it felt like every piece of lore I wrote had some kind of darkness behind it and lacked… well, innocence… for lack of a better word. Anyhoo, you can be sure more of what Evaryr wields as weapons will be drawn soon.
