Relic Concept - I

Once belonged to a Zerran Prince of the First Kingdom, this ancient artifact has since been somewhat a treasured item to the current royal family of the Third Kingdom, House Asuria. Passed down throughout the years, a tale of love and loss has forged itself with this blade, as legend has it that its first owner was among those who were unable to escape the revolts that sought to end the royal bloodlines of that era. However, while their residence was being sacked, the prince, who was with his beautiful and faithful escort at the time, gave the dagger to her for protection, before he sent her away to meet his fate...

Fortunately, the lady was able to escape, and it is said she travelled with the northern exiles till they settled and formed the Third Kingdom. Elsewise, not much is known about its history, save for that it is believed to have been kept in the palace treasury of Kashynastrae, for several generations since.

Wheee… and this was a lot of fun. Never really attempted to draw a weapon concept art before, but I hope some can appreciate it. See, drawing blades is a lot like starships to me, because designing them comes more naturally than drawing people themselves. There’s less about to concern me with too, and well… I just feel I can be more artistic and imaginative with them. lol… and they don’t take near as long to finish. 6 hours, no reference.
