Well, I almost lost this one, but thanks to some helpful hands on deck, I was able to retrieve this work from the depths of a deranged homicidal computer, that likes to kidnap files without warning. Though all is good in the lands of Artville now. Huzzah!

But yes. Here's the commission I promised ~Sargoth, some months ago. The character portrayed is Zanara. A deranged homicidal (XD) woman, of the Ixa'Morte tribe. She's for a forum rpg, based on the Dreamcast title, Skies of Arcadia. An awesome game, that.

Btw! Sargoth has written up a brief history for her too, so here it is!

Woooo! It came out awesome, Rain! Everything just fit together just right. I get the feeling that Zanara and I were having a chat and suddenly there's a knife about to make friends with my stomach. =P

glad you didn't lose it. loving the textures and the face is great, too. i think the dimmed tones work for the mood and time of the piece.i think the two buildings to the left are messing with perspective, making her look taller than the buildings. probably getting rid of the window and making the buildings taller would solve this. cuz right now if she was to walk down the street she'd be rather tall compared to those buildings. anyhow, another excellent piece. keep it up rainier

No worries, man! And I can't thank you enough for the commission. She was a fun character to draw, and it was a nice change from the norm. Of course, I wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley, but I suppose it could be worse... somehow. =P

Sent this way from that exact same Skies of Arcadia RP. Sargoth showed off your work in our forums and I gotta say, I'm very impressed. She's almost identical to the woman I imagine in my head (although there's usually more bodies somewhere in the background... X3). You have talent, dude. I might have to go investigate the rest of your gallery.

Green moonstone blade? Nice touch considering her history/birthplace.

Colours and mood are excellent, but where did she get that dress? =p

I HATE YOUUUUUU!!!!! :shakefist: And you know why i hate you! :shakefist: That background is... the stone texture... :shakefist:...

And what can i say i havent told you yet? Im in love with the expression of her face, and with the details on her dress :D The perspective is great too

Buuut! Why dont give it a try and do some quick clouds in that orange sky? It looks a bit plain compared with the detail of the rest of the picture :o
